In a residential property, most systems are split up into 2 parts, the inside unit and the outside unit. There are many components to both system, but we will be covering the two main components on each system. The easiest method to clean your outside unit is to use your water hose and water down the outside portion. After watering down the outside condenser coil, make sure to remove any debris like grass, dirt, and pollutants from the unit. This will help your unit breath better and allow the air to pass of the fins of the coil. The inside unit evaporator coil can be cleaned from the return of your system if it is an air handler. You can purchase evaporator coil cleaner and spray the chemical on the bottom half of the coil. However this does not clean the top half of the coil, we recommend you choose us to pull and clean your coil fully. If it is a furnace, the ductwork above the unit will need to be removed to access the evaporator coil or we remove the coil completely from the system. You will need an AC technician to remove the freon and clean the coil properly. But, best advice is to call us and let one of our air conditioning technicians clean your evaporator coil properly.
